An artist or an athlete participating in artistic or sport events in Brazil without a contract and without receiving payment for services rendered (air ticket, lodging and basic living expenses excluded) may be issued a short-time tourist visa.
In addition to meeting the requirements for a tourist visa, the artist or athlete must present a letter from the sponsoring party in Brazil stating the non-commercial nature of the event and that no payment for services rendered will be received.
For artists or athletes performing professionally, with a contract and receiving payment for services rendered, the sponsoring party must submit the application for a special kind of visa – Temporary Visa III.
Documents required:
1. 1 Visa Application Form completely filled out online, dated and signed;
2. A valid passport – original – with the expiration date at least 6 months after the intended date of arrival in Brazil, and with at least 1 blank page available for the visa stamp;
3. 2 photograph, passport size, colour, front view, no head cover, off-white plain background, taken within the last 6 months;
4. Approval from the Ministry of Labour;
5. For non-Americans: copy of green card or valid visa to country of final destination (this requirement does not apply to applicants returning to their country of citizenship).
