To apply for a residence permit one has to submit:
1. An application form
2. The countries stipulated in the list on the webpage of the OCMA (see the list) need to submit definite documents in order to apply for the residence permit (learn more). The citizens of the countries not mentioned in the list have to deliver another document package (learn more)
3. For a temporary residence permit a valid health insurance plan as well as a certificate issued by a Latvian health care institution, verifying that a person is not infected by tuberculosis in active stage are needed.
The applications must be submitted to a diplomatic or consular representative office of the Republic of Latvia abroad. Upon certain conditions (specified here) they may also be submitted to the OCMA or the OCMA outside Riga City and Riga District (contact)
