Temporary Residence Visa (Work & Study Visa)

Work Visa Official Application Form (London Embassy)

This visa is for foreigners with the purpose of working (paid or unpaid). The visa is issued by the National Directorate of Migration in Argentina. The visa permission is applied normally by the contracting company in Argentina.

The application cost is around 200 euros and the issuing cost is around 100 euros to be paid to the consulate.

If the company or institution that sends you to Argentina is not registered in Argentina, the company in its country of origin has to present commercial references and declarations at the Argentinean consulate.

The requirements to apply for a work visa are:

- Labor contract with the company or institution in Argentina.
- Birth certificate, translated into Spanish by a certified translator.
- Marital agreement, translated into Spanish by a certified translator.
- Passport with a minimum validity of a year and half after the visa is issued (for each family member)
- 3 passport photos for each family member (4×4; preferably light blue background; profile right side)

Study Visa
Official Application Forms (London Embassy)

All Foreigners need a visa if they want to study. The duration of the student visa, it could be 6 months or 1 year. It is possible to be extended by the National Directorate of Migration in Argentina.

In order to get the student visa, you have to be registered at an official accredited educational institution in Argentina.

To prove that you have to present the following documents:

- Confirmation of enrolment of the school, institution or university. This letter has to be legalized by the Argentinean Ministry of Education.
- Proof of registration (Resolution 1523/90)
- Issued by the Argentinean embassy.
- Passport with a validity of at least 1 year after the visa is issued.
- Four standard-size passport photos.
- Certified birth certificate at an international form.
- Statement of good conduct.
- Medical statement (this form is issued by the consulate).
- Certified declaration of not having any criminal antecedents (signed in presence of consul).
- Payment of the application fee.
- Proof of sufficient economic funds.
