Business Visa

A Business Visa (VITEM-II) is for:

- Meetings to discuss sales or purchases of goods and services; close export or import deals;
- Meetings to evaluate ongoing operations or existent contracts; explore investment opportunities, relocation, outsourcing;
- Media coverage or filming;
- Trips by flight/ship crew members not holding an international crew card.

Requirements for a Business Visa:

1. A valid passport showing at least 6 months validity from the date of intended arrival in Brazil and a copy of all filled pages;
2. Extract of Judicial-Penal Report, issued within the last 3 months; translated into  English or Portuguese;
3. An original letter on your company’s letterhead, informing your job description, the purpose of your trip, who will pay for your expenses and how long you intend to stay in Brazil. In order to expedite your visa, please provide as much information as you can on the activities that you intend to perform in Brazil. All documents should be translated into English or Portuguese;
4. An original and copy of a Commercial Circular or Registration of a Company stating the company’s registration, translated to English or Portuguese;
5. An original letter from your company’s counterpart or contact in Brazil, informing the business relationship between the two organizations, how your activities in Brazil will be performed and for how long. Must present the identification of the company (CGC or CNPJ);
6. Bank extract, for the last 6 months, with  stamp and seal of the bank;
7. 2 photograph 3×4, recent (less than 6 months), in colour, front view, white back;
8. 1 Visa Application Form per applicant, completely filled online, dated and signed by the applicant;
9. Reservation printouts from internet or travel agencies;
10. Payment of a non-refundable visa fee of R$136.00;
11. Algeria citizens are subject to a visa fee of R$193.00, on a reciprocity basis; Angola citizens are subject to a visa fee of R$317.00, on a reciprocity basis; United Arab Emirates citizens are subject to an additional fee of R$125.00, on a reciprocity basis;
12. U.S. citizens must pay a non-refundable, reciprocity fee of R$317.00;
13. Regardless of nationality, an R$46.00 processing fee will be charged if the application is not presented in person by the passport holder.

IMPORTANT

All visa applications should be instructed personally by the interested in the Consulate/Embassy of Brazil in the area of your residence. A proof of residence should be presented. Requests from foreign who don't reside legally in the country of origin are not accepted.
